Position: Elementary Homeroom Teacher

Department: Elementary

Report to: Head of Elementary/ Curriculum Coordinator

 

Responsibilities

  • Teach, manage and monitor children in a classroom environment
  • Teach core subjects in Elementary level assigned by the School 
  • Plan, create, prepare, evaluate and assign lessons, based on the school curriculum, US curriculum
  • Prepare courseworks and assignments 
  • Grades paper and perform other administrative teaching-related duties if required 
  • Maintain grade books
  • Implement various teaching techniques in class
  • Develop incentives to keep participants in class
  • Encourage creativity and enthusiasm in learning in students
  • Assist students before and/or after school if they need extra help
  • Utilize various teaching and curriculum resources
  • Keep record of teaching materials, students’ progress and outcomes in portfolios
  • Coordinate with the Head of Elementary and/or curriculum coordinator to ensure the learning goals and objectives are met
  • Constantly update lesson plans and coordinate with the Academic Administrators
  • Communicate with parents or guardians about their child’s academic and overall improvement
  • Be responsible for children’s welling and safety and manage their behaviors in a classroom.

 

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education, Elementary Education or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year experience in teaching in Elementary level 
  • Teaching license is preferred.
  • Child’s protection and safety training if preferred
  • Passionate about educating children
  • Be able to maintain creativity and friendliness in inspiring children’s learning and attention
  • Flexible and cooperative with school activities and events
  • Excellent command of English; native speaker or equivalent.
  • Proficient in using Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Position: Senior Human Resources Officer
Report to: Vice President and/or President

NIVA American International School, registered under NIVA International Education
Ltd., Co. is looking for a senior human resources officer to join our school. He/she will be responsible for;
Organizing and Implementing Policies and Regulation
- Follow Human Resource Policies and Regulations and use them as a guideline to monitor
employees
- Handle salary structure scale and benefit scale
- Handle teachers’ and teacher assistants’ Employment Agreement
- Plan and manage job description
- Plan and evaluate annually to adjust salary and benefits policies
- HR all request forms (application form, attendance, leave, interview, evaluation, school
calendar, employment agreement)

Recruiting and Hiring
- Advertise vacancies and organize resumes and job applications
- Participate in recruitment efforts
- Pre-screen candidates and conduct an initial interview via phone
- Proceed with the second and/or third interviews
- Make an appointment letter before hiring
- Coordinate with visa and work permit officer
- Ensure a new employee fully understand his/her compensation, benefits, basic school’s rules
and regulations
- Introduce a new employee to his/her Head of Department

Employment / Filing / Keeping Records
- Handle employment agreement (probation, type of employment, position, job description)
- New employee orientation
- Set a new employee up for finger scan, email, ID card and other access to school.
- Maintain and update current employment files and database and keep former employment in record
- Monitor attendance, all leaves and any HR related requirements
- Coordinate with Registrar for teachers’ supervision for substitute
- Handle certification of employment as requested
- Update the personal tax exemption of employees
- Make a personal tax PND.91 for employees
- Request tax ID for foreigner
- Provident fund
- Social security for Thai Staff
- Overtime
- Manage and minimize employees’ loan

Payroll
- Salary and benefits payroll
- Salary and benefits payment
- Annually adjust salary and benefits strategy

- Tax (PND.1) - monthly
- Tax (PND.1ก) - annually

Termination and Resignation Documents
- Handle resignation process (clearance form, financial clearance,
resignation letter)
- Manage employees’ debt clearance
- Report to provident fund, social security and medical insurance
- Final payment and deduction details

Other ad-hoc HR-related assignments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration,
Management or any related field
- At least 3 - 5 years of solid experience in human resources management
- Knowledge of labor laws and tax
- Excellent command of English and Thai language. A proof of English proficiency test is
required (TOEIC score: at least 750) or English test will be given.
- Good command of communication, interpersonal and decision making skills
- Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Mature and confident
